A buddy and I were talking last night, sharing some recent experience where God is working in our lives.
We came to the joint conclusion that God writes amazing stories when we are obedient to the still, small voice.
Sometimes, I ignore that voice. How many times have a stifled God right as He is crafting an incredibly wonderful story?
How many good stories have I shut down because I feared to trust in God? Did I somehow think that by keeping my own hands on the wheel that I could do better? Did I somehow think that by ensuring my agenda is maintained would result in a more valuable outcome?
Our obedience to the still, small voice opens doors for God to work. He won't force the story. He has granted us the privilege of writing it with Him. And if we blow the privilege, we lose out on some really good stories in our lives and have to settle for our version.
And God? He moves on to others who allow Him to write really cool stories of grace and mercy and wisdom and redemption and healing and.....
