Is Flash Doomed?

Here's an interesting article from ReadWriteWeb about how big ticket media outlets like NPR and WSJ are planning to build "Flash-free" applications for the new iPad.

In and of themselves, these developments are "market-leading" and pave the way for other media outlets to follow suit, which in turn build anticipation for the arrival of iPad on the market in Q2.

So is Apples refusal to incorporate Flash into it's browser interface starting a negative trend that could impact Flash?

Highly doubtful.  Flash is so ubiquitous and creates such a dynamic presence on-line, it's viability seems pretty entrenched.

However, Apple's ongoing insistence to refuse accomodation of Flash is probably just an ongoing sign that they are working on a competitive solution.
