Obama Plays the Gay Marriage Issue Like a Fiddle?

Is President Obama playing games on the gay marriage issue?

Earlier this week, the president declared his personal support for gay marriage, much to the applause of the left, the media, and many in the social channels. Here's the transcript.

However, this is another one of those moments where Lee Corso could step in with a "not so fast, my friend" for those gushing over the presidents view on the left and those gushing tears over it on the right.

If one takes a hard look at his statement made on ABC, it's pretty easy to see he was pandering to the left, even if Joe Biden forced his hand earlier than planned. Biden apologized for that by the way.

Obama's personal conviction is to support gay marriage. But he also clearly stated it is an issue that should be left up to the states to decide.

Excuse me: isn't that right where we are today?

How long will it take the left and gay marriage supports to realize they have been had by a slick politician who is running for re-election? They heard what they wanted to hear, but all the headlines, reporting and reaction seem to be missing the fact that he also said its not something he's going to spend time pursuing.

How long will it take for the skewering to begin when the left realizes he gave them nothing but his personal vote, which, within his stated position, is pretty much meaningless. After all, he's the President, not a state legislator.

Need further proof the left has been had by BHO? How about today's statement from the White House that it won't push for a repeal of DOMA in Congress.

President Obama did conservatives more of a favor than they may realize.

And I doubt they will thank him.
