I viewed this video over my lunch this afternoon.
I'm keeping an eye on how David Letterman is using his own sex harrassment crisis to discuss the Tiger Woods situation on his show. In this clip, he interviews Barbara Walters who makes a very good point that athletes are very talented but they are not role models (although as a culture we idolize them).
Dave is witty and funny...and potentially a PR genius.
Is he using Tiger's situation to deflate his own crisis, which is ongoing? He's been very transparent on his show about his own failings and now it feels like there is a subtle effort to use Tiger to leave the impression that "gee...I'm not as bad as this guy."
Am I reading too much into that?
